In 1953, Rosewall won his first Grand Slam title at the Australian Open. He was just 18 years old at the time and became the youngest player to ever win a Grand Slam title.

In 1956, Rosewall won the French Open and Wimbledon titles. He became the first player since Don Budge in 1938 to win both titles in the same year.
