The story is told from Sarah's perspective, and we get to see the world through her eyes. She is a complex character who is both strong and vulnerable. She is determined to find Jason's killer, but she is also struggling to come to terms with his death.

Picoult also does a great job of exploring the themes of forbidden love and murder. She shows us how love can make us do things that we never thought we were capable of. She also shows us how murder can destroy lives and families.

Between the Lines is a powerful novel that will stay with you long after you finish reading it. It is a story about love, loss, and the search for truth.
